THE EARTH DIDN’T MOVE, THE STARS DIDN’T FALL FROM THE SKY… YET…

SPECIAL TO LIMITTAXES.ORG, BY KIRK UHLER

The earth didn’t move. The stars didn’t fall from the sky. Yet on this day, June 28, 2012, mans’ relative place in the political universe changed, perhaps irrevocably.

On this day, five people in blac

k robes – four dyed-in-the-wool liberals and one ostensible conservative – decided that the free man who, in this grand experiment called the United States of America, had traditionally and constitutionally led his government from the front, must now shut up and sit down, forced to be taken wherever a bloated, self-indulgent government chooses to take him.

As fate would have it, I was in Washington DC today when the ruling was announced. Well, not precisely in the District, but rather across the Potomac in Arlington, VA, just a stone’s throw from the burial ground of true American heroes of this generation and those gone before.

The earth didn’t move. The stars didn’t fall from the sky. But, the collective stirring of tens of thousands of American patriots who paid for their admission to Arlington with their blood, for my freedom and that of my posterity, shouted out to me in unison, “This injustice must not stand! We did not give of our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor that your generation should sit passively by and be conquered from within.”

Today, the Supreme Court of the United States sided with those who would seek to make individual rights subservient to collective whims. I will never do so. For my sake and that of my posterity, and in honor of the generations who went before to give me a chance to live in liberty, I will fight this. Peaceably. Enthusiastically. Indefinitely. I will fight, for us and our posterity, to reestablish the natural order that our Founders intended, that, “Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

To this abusive mandate, I do not consent. Join me.
